La guía de la asignatura ha sido actualizada con los cambios que aquí se mencionan.
El Grupo de Investigación de Estudios sobre Sociedad y Política (GESP) está formado por profesores e investigadores, principalmente, de las Facultades de Sociología y Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) y de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). Ha sido reconocido por ambas Universidades como Grupo Consolidado de Investigación, y se conforma como un colectivo estable para la realización de tareas en el ámbito de la investigación social y política. En el seno del Grupo se llevan a cabo actividades conjuntas de todos los miembros y acciones de algunos de ellos que se presentan en común periódicamente para enriquecimiento del conjunto.
Con el fin de expandir nuestros proyectos y de difundir los resultados de los mismos las actividades realizadas a lo largo de los últimos años pueden ser consultadas en esta página, con lo que pretendemos obtener ayuda y colaboración de otros profesionales que pudieran estar interesados en las temáticas que conforman nuestro objeto de estudio. Entendemos que el ámbito en el que trabajamos, los asuntos relacionados con la sociedad y la política, han de ser contemplados desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar. De ahí la importancia que otorgamos a la interrelación de las aportaciones procedentes de la Sociología y de la Ciencia Política y a las provenientes de otras perspectivas afines de diferentes ciencias sociales.
