Smart and Adaptive Learning and Teaching-Crowding Group. SALT-CG (Research Group on Educational Innovation))
SALT-CG is a Teaching Innovation Research Group at UNED recognized since 2016 (GID2016-34), composed of 30 members.
Its main objective is to promote the development and application of intelligent and adaptive teaching-learning systems that meet current standards of quality and accessibility in technology-mediated education, ultimately improving the learning and experience of UNED students and particularly encouraging their engagement in the process.
To achieve this objective, the SALT Group promotes a multidisciplinary working environment for educational innovation, based on the previous experience of the group members in the management and practice of innovation, both technological and methodological, in the field of distance education in its various forms: blended, online, and open.
SALT has set five specific objectives covering various areas of action through a set of specific goals translated into different lines of development, each coordinated by one of the group members. Ángeles Sánchez-Elvira Paniagua coordinates the line related to student support.
These main objectives focus on the following areas:
- development of technologies for adaptive and intelligent learning;
- improvement of accessibility;
- actions to support students and prevent dropouts;
- research on innovation actions;
- and improving the quality of training and learning.
