I have been visiting researcher at CEACS-Fundación Juan March -Madrid-, University of Essex, University of Chicago, University of Salford, University of Manchester, and at PACTE-Sciences Po Grenoble. In the 2020-2021 academic year I was Visiting Professor at Sciences Po, Paris. I am Associate Research Fellow at the Centre d'études europénnes et de politique comparée of SciencesPo (Paris) since 2022.
Research activity
Currently, I mainly carry out research related to the two research projects of which I am or have been Principal Investigator in recent years, both funded in the competitive calls of the National R&D Plan of the Government of Spain. Thus, I have been working for some years on voting for radical left parties in Europe and, more recently, I am working on the analysis of attitudes towards the involvement of experts in political decision-making processes. Furthermore, I continue to be interested in the study of the participation and involvement in political organizations, and in the analysis of the effects of precariousness on voting and on political attitudes.
My most recent book, Radical Left Voters in Western Europe, co-authored with Raul Gomez (University of Liverpool), has been published by Routledge https://www.routledge.com/Radical-Left-Voters-in-Western-Europe/Gomez-Ramiro/p/book/9781032303901
