Research activity
Research Areas: Artificial Intelligence for Computer Vision, with a particular focus on biomedical imaging, neuroimaging, information access, and evaluation. Additionally, she researches Multimodal Artificial Intelligence, combining images, text, audio, and numerical data to enhance performance across various applications.
She has been a Principal Investigator and collaborator in numerous research projects funded by national and international organisations. Furthermore, she coordinates the CLEF (Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum) initiative, which involves over 200 research groups in large-scale evaluation of information access systems, fostering global scientific collaboration.
