Research activity
Member of the ATLAS research group (Applying Technology to LAnguageS) and Coordinator of GLOBE (Innovative Didactic Group for Languages in Open and Blended Environments). Her research interests focus on the application of technology to improve English language learning, with special emphasis on the use of Open Educational Resources and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).
Professional experience
She is a member of the UNESCO Chair of Distance Education (CUED) and is currently working at the National University of Distance Education, where she is a member of the Doctoral School and teaches official Masters and Degree courses. She has supervised two Doctoral Theses, more than a hundred Master's Theses and thirty Bachelor's Theses.

RESEARCH GROUPS
- ATLAS - APPLYING ATLAS is a consolidated interdisciplinary research group at UNED, created at the end of the 20th century. The main aim has been to carry out research in Applied English Linguistics and to contribute to the progress of this discipline from a dual linguistic and technological perspective, given that its members are university teachers of foreign languages or engineers interested in the application of technological advances to their teaching. +info
- GLOBE- Innovative Didactic GLOBE is an interdisciplinary Teaching Innovation group founded in 2016 whose main objective is the implementation of the results of its research in the field of ICT for the development of linguistic-communicative competences in foreign languages in hybrid and online environments (collaborative, open, mobile, etc.) in the Bachelor and Master subjects taught by the teachers of the group, in order to improve students' participation, performance and success rates. +info
