Research activity
The main research activity is focused on artificial intelligence applied to health economics, which fits the following research topics:
- Artificial intelligence and expert systems
- Diagnosis and decision analysis in medicine
- Economic evaluation
- Health technologies assessment
I am currently doing my PhD about the use of the discrete event simulation technique (DES) on probabilistic graphical models, targeted to health economics, mainly cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA), using tools such as OpenMarkov, SIMUL8, TreeAge and DICE.
Professional experience
Technical Support Staff at UNED since 2020 in the Department of Artificial Intelligence, having worked previously at the universities of Murcia and Cartagena as a researcher and technical staff in telematics.
Before that, vocational trainer in the Computer and Communications area.
