Research activity

Rosario Domingo is a Professor of Doctorate Programme Industrial Technologies. She is a member of Research Group Industrial Production and Manufacturing Engineering - IPME.

Her work has been published in journal as Journal of Materials Processing Technology, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing, Materials or Complexity. She has supervised eight PhD theses.

Some research projects:
• Efficiency and Sustainability of Cryogenic Machining of Biodegradable Materials. (RTI2018-102215-B-I00). Lead researcher.
• Sustainability and efficiency of cryogenic machining of composites plates reinforced with nanostructures (DPI2014-58007-R). Lead researcher.
• Efficiency and Sustainability Analysis of Hole Machining for Assembly Systems of Polymer Materials and Composites of Organic Matrix in Life Cycle (DPI2011-27135). Lead researcher.
• Economical, Energetic and Environmental Sustainability for Turning of Titanium Alloys (DPI2008-06771-C04-02). Lead researcher.
• Analysis and evaluation of the performance for drilling of aerospace alloys (DPI2005-09325-C02-02)

 

 

Educational management experience

In UNED, Rosario has served as Director of the Evaluation Technical Unit of IUED, Coordinator for Innovation and Quality, Deputy Vicerrector for International University Cooperation.

Further, she has served in UNED as Vicerrector for Quality and Internationalization.

She has also been Coordinator of Master in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Director of Doctorate Programme of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
