Research activity
I am a member of TECF3IR research group TECF3IR (Tecnología de Sistemas de Fisión, Fusión y Fuentes de Irradiación) dedicated to nuclear analysis of facilities with intense radiation fields. My research is focused on the development and application of computational tools for the nuclear analysis of facilities related to nuclear fusion technology (nuclear fusion reactors and high intensity accelerators). Related to the part of computational developments, my research is focused on two subjects: geometry definition for Monte Carlo radiation transport codes (GEOUNED code) and shutdown dose rate estimation using Monte Carlo radiation transport codes (R2SUNED and D1SUNED). Related to the part of applications, I have participated in several projects related with conceptual ( DEMO ) and experimental fusion reactors ( JET and ITER) as well as high intensity accelerators (DONES and CID).
