OTHER AREAS OF INTEREST: New Technologies in History Teaching; Engineering in the Middle Ages; Medieval History of Japan (Kamakura-Muromachi).

He has been a member of different national R&D research groups on the Crusades and the Holy Wars.

He was Director of the UNED's own research project: The International Orders in the Iberian Peninsula, 13th-16th centuries (2016-2017).
