Academic Information

Clara Almagro Vidal is Principal Investigator of a research project funded by the CAM Senior Talent Attraction Grants programme.

PhD from the University of Granada (2012, cum laude) her dissertation holds an international mention and won an extraordinary doctoral prize in the Humanities. Five-year Degree in History (2003) and Diploma of Advanced Studies (2005) from the same university.

She was previously PI of a research project funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) at the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main (Germany), postdoctoral researcher at the University of Évora (Portugal), visiting researcher at the University of Constance (Germany) and researcher in a project on the Hidalguía Collection in the Archive of the Royal Chancery of Granada funded by the Real Asociación de Hidalgos de España.

She has been responsible for numerous publications on the analysis of the medieval landscape, religious minorities and the history of military orders in the Middle Ages.

PROYECTOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN

  • Musulmanes en Tierras de Señorío: Una visión integrada Este proyecto analiza las comunidades mudéjares en áreas de señorío durante la Edad Media Peninsular. Para ello, emplea como caso principal las tierras bajo el dominio de las órdenes militares, estableciendo puntos de comparación con ejemplos de señorío tanto laico como religioso en la Castilla y la Corona de Aragón en la Baja Edad Media.
