Academic Information

Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (2022) and Philosophy (2022), and Master's Degree in Epistemology of Natural and Social Sciences (2023) from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Academic positions held

Predoctoral Researcher at the Department of Logic, History, and Philosophy of Science at UNED since March 2024.
PhD candidate (FPI grant holder) for the project Evidence and Mechanisms in the Social Sciences (EviSoc) (PID2021-125936NB-I00).

Research activity

Research focus: Philosophy of experimentation in the social sciences, epistemology of causality in the social sciences.
Participation in research projects: Evidence and Mechanisms in the Social Sciences (EviSoc) (PID2021-125936NB-I00), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Educational management experience

Losner coordinates (with Carolina Cuadrado Bastos) the BioKoinos-METIS PhD Seminar, a series of monthly seminars alternating between UNED and UCM. The talks organized by Losner are held on Wednesdays at 16:00 (CEST) in Sala 0.6, Edificio de Humanidades, UNED. They are also streamed.   • Evidence and Mechanisms in the Social Sciences EviSoc pursues two sets of objectives: (A) objectives related with the application of the new general mechanistic approach to the social sciences and (B) objectives related with analysis of classical questions in the methodology of social sciences from a mechanism-based framework. +info
