Academic Information

I did my PhD on Cognitive Science and Language (area: Philosophy of Language) at the University of Barcelona (Nov. 2017). Before that I obtained a Master's degree in Analytic Philosophy at the University of Barcelona (2014) and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2008).

Research activity

My work focuses on the Philosophy of Language. I am especially interested in the pragmatic or contextual aspects of communication. Lines of research: semantic underdeterminacy in language and thought; some phenomena that involve multipropositionalism (such as twice-apt metaphors); and discursive injustices.

Professional experience

I am assistant professor at the department of Logic, History and Philosophy of Science. Before joining the UNED, I was Juan de la Cierva postdoc at the University of Granada (2019-2021) and FPI pre-doctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona with the LOGOS group (2012-2016).

I have been visiting fellow at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (March-September 2021) and visiting student at the University of St Andrews (April-June 2016) and the Jean Nicod Institut (September-December 2015).
