RESEARCH PROJECTS

  • Ecosocial literacy: a central element in the processes of ‘curricular sustainability’ for the achievement of the Agenda 2030 (SDGs) in the initial training of secondary education teachers. PRAD-ODS This project delves into theoretical conceptualization of the educational for sustainable development. It focuses the attention on the ecosocial literacy of the students -environmental, planetary citizenship and sustainability-, as foundation for the building of competences in sustainability. This one is a significant aspect for the quality of the curricular sustainability processes of university degrees.
  • (Re)orienting teaching practices towards sustainability: on-site and virtual environments for the education of secondary education teachers This project contributes to the quality of education in three main aspects: the innovation of teaching practice, the creation of networks of teachers that are committed with curriculum sustainability, and the acquisition by students and teachers of the competencies of sustainable development,

  • PUBLICATIONS IN MAGAZINES Además de diez libros como coautora, autora y editora, y más de veinte capítulos en obras colectivas (editoriales: Springer, Peter Lang, UNED, MacGraw Hill, Dykinson, etc), ha publicado más de cuarenta artículos en revistas de reconocido prestigio en el campo de la educación:  Revista de Educación, Educación XXI,  Revista Española de Pedagogía, Revista Enseñanza de las Ciencias, Teoría de la Educación-Revista Interuniversitaria, Bordón-Revista de Pedagogía,  Revista Mexicana de Investigación Educativa (RMIE), Revista Internacional de Educación para la Justicia Social (RIEJS) , Journal of Baltic Science Education, Journal of Teacher Education for Sustainability, Revista Electrónica Teoría de la Educación. Educación y cultura en la sociedad de la información, entre otras.  Es editora invitada en sendos monográficos publicados por la Revista de Educación (2009) y la Revista Foro de Educación (2015).
  • PUBLICATIONS AT CONFERENCES Desde 1983, ha presentado los resultados de su investigación en un centenar de congresos nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos: Congreso Nacional de Pedagogía, World Environmental Education Congress, World Symposium on Sustainable Development at Universities, International Congress of Educational Sciences and Development, European Conference on Educational Research, Congreso Nacional de Modelos de Investigación Educativa, OMEP World Symposium, Congreso Internacional de Teoría de la Educación, Encuentro Iberoamericano de Educación Superior a Distancia (AIESAD), Congreso Nacional del Medio Ambiente (CONAMA).
