She is Associate professor at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Law, the largest Spanish Public University.

Research activity

She has been visiting researcher at the Universität Potsdam, Open University, School of Social Welfare (UC Berkeley, USA), University of Nuevo León (México). Her research interests focus on Child Welfare, migration, transparency, decision making proceedings, welfare state systems. She has been director of the Gregorio Marañon UNED College Center(from 04/2012 to 07/2014). She is an Affiliate researcher del Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism (Universidad Bergen). She is also a researcher on the DISCRETION project (2017-2022), a European Research Council Consolidator project led by Prof. Marit Skivenes at the University of Bergen, Norway. She has led as principal investigator, and she has participated in several research projects funded by competitive grant programs, both national and international (European Research Council; UNED; Ministry of Science and Innovation, Ministry of Labour and Social Security; Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs, Youth Institute , National Institute for Safety and Health at Work; Franklin Institute of the University of Alcalá de Henares, Fundación ONCE, Obra Social Caja de Ahorros de Segovia, etc).
