Research activity
My research focuses on the intersection between efficiency analysis and machine learning. It is centered on the development of new methods for production frontier estimation and technical efficiency measurement, with special attention to shape-constrained nonparametric models, robustness, scalability, and open-source statistical software. In this line, I have developed the ACES, RF-ACES, and Q-ACES family of methods, aimed at overcoming classical limitations of Data Envelopment Analysis, such as overfitting or sensitivity to irrelevant variables.
