Actividad investigadora

  • Prevenir la radicalización violenta y favorecer el desenganche.
    Ha realizado trabajo de campo y online con individuos en riesgo de radicalización, radicales (por ejemplo, terroristas, bandas latinas, crimen organizado), y ex terroristas. Actualmente es IP de una ERC Advanced Grant (European Research Council).
  • Predictores y mecanismos mediadores de la disposición al auto-sacrificio por un grupo, por otro individuo, o por unos valores
    Ha obtenido más de una docena de proyectos del Ministerio y contratos internacionales gracias a los cuales ha co-originado teorías (por ejemplo, fusión de identidad, valores sagrados, modelo del actor devoto) para tal fin.

  • A Multi-Theory Multi-Method Approach for Preventing and Reducing Radicalization leading to Violence (MULTIPREV). European Research Council (ref.101018172) Proyecto dirigido a la prevención y reducción de la radicalización violenta. + info
  • Deradicalizing Violent Extremist Offenders in Prison: A Randomized-Control Trial. New York University, Abu Dhabi El objetivo de este proyecto es realizar la evaluación de la eficacia un proyecto de intervención encaminado a evitar la radicalización que puede llevar a la violencia, y a fomentar el desenganche de aquellos grupos o creencias que pueden estar favoreciendo comportamientos violentos.
  • Lo que aprendí estando en prisión. Profundizar en la naturaleza de la fusión de identidad, la formidabilidad física y espiritual y sus mecanismos subyacentes (FUSIONFORM). Ministerio de Ciencias e Innovación (ref. PID2021-124617OB-I00) El presente proyecto trata de profundizar en los mecanismos que llevan a la radicalización violenta y que pueden favorecer el desenganche. Tras haber realizado un estudio en prisión con internos vinculados a distintos grupos criminales el objetivo es realizar una serie de estudios online de diseño correlacional y experimental para determinar la relación entre variables y determinar relaciones causales.
